2020 CSA Program

In this season of many unknowns when so much is beyond our control,
we know the sun will rise, the rain will fall, and the plants will grow as they always do.

Will you be cooking from home more this year?
Would a box of farm-fresh, non-GMO, organically grown vegetables bring you joy?

There is no more reliable source for fresh food than a local farm.

Sign up today to reserve your share for the 2020 season.

WHAT IS A CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a commitment that straightens and strengthens the connection between eaters, producers, and the land. Your upfront payment provides capital for an entire season of growth. As farmers, we cannot overstate the power of this commitment. With gratitude as our guide, we reciprocate the trust of our members with bountiful, vibrant, beautiful food, all grown with love. Through your support of CSA, we all become the culture in local, small-scale, diversified agri-culture.

WHY JOIN?

The freshest certified organic food. More veggies in your diet. Supporting local businesses. Investing in restoration and biodiversity. Knowing the face, family, and land behind your food. Diversifying your diet. Exploration of new tastes and flavors. A sun-ripened tomato. Melons that slip right off the vine. Celebrating abundance. Living the season.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

We have three choice for our 2020 CSA Shares:

Early Season which runs for 5 collective weeks from May through Mid- June.

Summer Season Full and Half Shares which run for 14 collective weeks from Mid-June through September.

Shares come in two sizes: half shares and full shares. Half shares are typically enough for a family of 2, while full shares are typically enough for a family of 4.

Here is a short list of what produce you will see in your shares:

Mid- May to June: spinach, radishes, peas, broccoli, cauliflower, onions, lettuce

Mid-June to July: greens, lettuce, spinach, radishes, herbs, beets, peas

July to August: summer squash, zucchini, cucumbers, beans, herbs, peppers, tomatoes, okra

September: eggplants, broccoli, carrots, radish, onions, greens, lettuce, beans

WHY HAMMERED INN FARM AND GARDEN?

We believe our customers deserve the best quality produce along with great customer service. We make it a point to only grow non-GMO seeds that are organic, heirloom, or both. We also follow organic and sustainable practices to ensure nothing but the best tasting produce. Our goal with each CSA member is to get to know them and provide them with fresh, local produce harvested within a 24-hour period and kept in a cold storage building (as needed). Each CSA member receives their weekly bags along with an e-mailed newsletter. In our newsletter, you will find a description of what's in the produce bag for the week, storage tips for the produce, recipes, and information about what's current on the farm. We hope to continue to grow each year, and we hope you can join us for our journey too!
